Alcoholism in College

The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism did a survey showing that 1 in 4 college students experience academic difficulties from drinking, such as missing class or getting behind in school work. In a national survey, college students that binge drank alcohol at least 3 times per week were roughly 6 times more likely to perform poorly on a test or a project as a result of drinking (40% vs 7%) than students who did not binge drink.
